Re: The Legends of Them 14th & 15th @ Nov Bristol Old Vic

The Award Winning Show The Legends of Them charts the story of leading actor Lorna Gee aka Sutara Gayle’s extraordinary life. A pioneering female deejay on London’s infamous reggae scene in the 80’s, Lorna cut her cloth performing for the legendary Saxone, Coxsone & Nasty Rockers sound systems.

The shooting of her sister Cherry Groce by the Police in 1985 sparked the second Brixton Uprising, and this landmark event in British history provides the socio-political backdrop to this compelling story. The Legends of Them is a unique theatrical, shared spiritual experience.

Each year during the festive occasion we invite the members of MATURE Events group to help us select a theme for our annual End Of Year Party, the option with the most votes this time was for the; Touch Of Red dance.
