As part of the Bristol Black History calendar of events and following on from last years success, RISE (Recognising Individual Success and Effort ) are holding their 2nd annual Black Tie Awards ceremony at The Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel Collage Green Bristol,             on Saturday 29th October 7.00pm – 1am.
Headline acts include top UK black comedienne Angie Lemar and lovers rock sensation , Mr.Peter Spence along with poet laureate,s Dr. Edson Burton, Lawrence Hoo & Miles Chambers. Iconic Black Bristolians Presents ARTival Bristol Beats & Bass A Fine Art Exhibition by Michele Curtis is the 2nd exhibition of evocative artwork by Michele, in powerful portraits displaying St Paul’s Carnival DJs and MCs. Pioneers and music lovers from the 80s and 90s. It’s on from Mon 25th July – Fri 29th July The Island.
