St Paul’s Grassroots celebration returned on Sat 4th July, in response of the official Carnival being canceled. Community members came together to stage a day of activities, entertainment, live performance, food & sound system.
Davey Street, is the designated location of the Old School ravers, and the reunion spot for friends who grew up in Bristol, attending Bristol’s music scene. Here’s footage of DJ Style & General live on the day.
Today’s the day, with the return of St Paul’s Grassroots celebrations. Join a host of entertainers from 12pm-10pm. Soul Central, Davey Street, St Paul’s BS2 9LX. Come catch the vibes, whilst we’re back outside with the mature ravers for a full day of entertainment, food & music. Catch DJ STYLE & GENERAL D Set Time: 8pm – 9pm. See you there.
MATURE Events is building up on the next event, the public have been invited to help select the line up, by suggesting DJ’s to perform. The date is now confirm and further details will be released from the website WEBSITE.
Produced by young people in partnership with groups from Strangebrew and Ujima, the No Bags, Just Bangers Galleries Free Party will transform part of the Galleries into a music event. From 2pm, audiences will nestle alongside shoppers to enjoy the sounds of Unit Ujima, or immerse themselves in the audio-visual treats in a takeover of Unit One.
At 5pm, when the Galleries closes to the public, the space between the two units will become a dedicated dance floor, performance space, and hangout.
