Sounds Of The Windrush, Human Library @ Circomedia.
St Paul’s Carnival kindly invites you to Windrush Day for an evening of storytelling exploring the impact of the Windrush Generation on the Bristol music scene – from the Carnival vibes of Soca to the beats that have influenced Dubstep and Drum & Bass.
Inspired by the concept of Human Libraries and our previously popular Library events, our guest speakers will become ‘human books’, representing a key part of Bristol’s musical heritage. This powerful Anthem, We Rise, aims to inspire a future built on the principles championed by those who took part in the original Bristol Bus Boycott in 1963.
Please share across your platforms & spread the message, so the youth know the struggle, and how they can be aspired by those who came before them.
